I have a Postgraduate Diploma in integrative counselling and coaching from the University of East London (UEL). The term for this pioneering approach is Personal Consultancy, it combines counselling methods with coaching techniques, allowing me to tailor our work together in a way that best meets your individual needs, goals and preferences.
Together, we will explore what you’re experiencing in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental space. One where you feel heard, valued, and understood. I work in a culturally sensitive way, with care and awareness of how identity, background, and life experiences shape us.
I understand that diversity, difference and experiences of being othered are not only part of our outer world but also deeply affect our inner lives. This means our work may involve reflecting on identity, values, beliefs, race, culture, family dynamics, and the lived realities of discrimination, privilege, or disadvantage, always at a pace that feels appropriate to you.
My integrative training means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Helps you to understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. By learning practical tools, you can challenge unhelpful patterns and build healthier ways of thinking and coping.
Existential Therapy
Helps you to explore questions of meaning, purpose, and choice, and find ways to live more authentically, even in times of uncertainty.
Gestalt Therapy
Focuses on the present moment, how you feel, think, and act right now. Through increased self-awareness, it helps you to understand yourself more fully and improve relationships with others.
Humanistic Therapy
Highlights your strengths, values, and potential. It creates a supportive space where you can grow, make positive changes, and move towards the best version of yourself.
Psychodynamic Therapy
Looks at how past experiences and unconscious patterns shape who you are today. By understanding these influences, you can gain insight, heal, and create lasting change.
Transactional Analysis (TA)
Helps you to understand your patterns of communication and behaviours. It gives you tools to build healthier relationships, improve self-awareness, and make choices that support your personal growth.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Encourages you to accept what you cannot control and focus on what truly matters to you. By combining mindfulness and values-based action, it helps you live with greater purpose and resilience.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Is a future-focused approach that draws on your strengths to take small, practical steps towards meaningful goals.
Person-Centred Therapy
Provides a safe, non-judgemental space where you’re fully accepted and supported, giving you room to grow and build self-trust.
Our sessions are collaborative and led by your needs and intentions. I may draw on tools and techniques from counselling, psychotherapy, and coaching to support you in gaining clarity, self-awareness, and meaningful change.
Sessions are tailored to you, your pace, comfort, and preferred ways of working. We can take a creative approach, using writing, visualisations, storyboarding, role play and metaphors. We can also integrate practices like mindfulness, body scans, breathing or grounding techniques to help build your connection to the present moment and to yourself.
In therapeutic coaching, we can focus on life or leadership coaching depending on your goals. This work tends to be more proactive and goal-oriented, with a time-bound structure that’s guided by what you want to achieve, whether personally or professionally.
I offer both short-term and open-ended counselling. We will work together to decide what feels right for you.
I have always been drawn to working with people from all walks of life. Through my time volunteering and in support roles, I have witnessed the many challenges individuals can face, as well as their resilience. This coupled with my own life experiences, has shaped my belief in the power of compassion, respect, curiosity and kindness. These values guide the way that I connect with each person.
Holding space and truly listening without judgement has been deeply meaningful to me, and it continues to fuel my purpose and commitment in supporting and serving others.
Before training as a therapist, I worked across a range of frontline and leadership roles in the NHS and third sector; as a group facilitator, support worker, and Team Leader. My work has included services supporting people facing mental health challenges, homelessness, drug and alcohol misuse, and involvement in the criminal justice system.
I currently also work as a Team Manager in a charity supporting children and young people’s mental health, alongside my private counselling and therapeutic coaching practice.
I feel deeply privileged to do this work, because of its impact. I value the opportunity of walking alongside individuals, as they find greater understanding, acceptance and change in their lives.
